In partnership with Centre communautaire francophone Windsor-Essex-Kent Inc. (@CCFWEK), Comité local en immigration francophone Windsor Essex Chatham Kent (@ClifWeck), and the City of Windsor (@CityWindsorON), the Windsor-Essex Local Immigration Partnership (@WindsorEssexLIP) launched the My New Community / Ma Nouvelle Communauté app in both French and English to help newcomers, immigrants, and refugees find local programs and services.
The My New Community / Ma Nouvelle Communauté app, helps identify resources like:
- Child and Youth Services
- Community Services
- Education
- Emergency First Responders
- Employment Services
- Food Banks
- Government and Social Services
- Health Services
- Housing Services
- Language Training
- Mental Health and Substance Use
- Newcomer Services
In 2023, the Windsor Essex Local Immigration Partnership updated the My New Community Map with a specific lens on Temporary Foreign Worker needs across Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, and Sarnia-Lambton.
The tool is available in English and Spanish, mapping out various important services for Temporary Foreign Workers like community services, emergency services, food banks, government and social services, health services, mental health supports.
