About WEskills

As part of the WEskills project, Workforce WindsorEssex provides the following programs and services to the community:

  • WEskills Database: a regional skills database, comprised of local resumes, that the City can use to help businesses find potential candidates for hire
  • WEjobs: the distribution of local job postings, job fairs, and short-term training opportunities
  • Connect job seekers and employers to local Service Providers and programs
  • Identify, collect and share:
    • News articles relating to business growth and expansion
    • New apprenticeship job postings
    • Job postings that require French-speaking candidates
  • Engage the community through workshops and booths at local events to share local labour market information

The WEskills team is also involved with many local committees, including:

  • United Way’s Retiree Volunteer Council
  • Community Integration through Cooperative Education Advisory Committee at St. Clair College
