We require an enthusiastic individual who is looking to work in a dynamic environment to fulfill a full time bookkeeping/accounting position.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Full cycle bookkeeping (Sage 50),Payroll, WSIB, HST, Payroll remittance and ROE filling.
Maintaining accurate and current financial records
Recording all financial transactions.
Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare and present financial statements to senior management
Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively
Monitoring receivables and ensuring collection by contacting parties with outstanding receivables
Entering A/P invoices ensuring costs are allocated to proper G/L accounts and proper taxes are applied
Allocating A/P invoices to correct jobs
Issuing A/P payments via check and EFT
Payroll processing
Intra-company transaction processing
Ensuring that all government remittances (Payroll, EHT, HST, WSIB, etc.) are paid in full and on time
Maintaining copies of accurate and complete information in an organized and clearly labelled manner
Working with the external accountant to prepare the year-end’s for multiple companies
Maintaining accurate fleet records
Bank/Credit Card Reconciliations
Additional administrative duties as required
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Business, preferred focus in accounting or bookkeeping
CPA designation would be considered an asset
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and industry best practices for Accounting and Finance
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Minimum 3 years’ experience
Proven experience as a bookkeeper
A strong sense of teamwork and willingness to help out other team members as needed
Able to use good judgement and ethical conduct at all times
Proficiency in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Detail oriented with focus on accuracy
Strong computer skills
Effective organizational and time management capabilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to perform cross-functional tasks as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$27.50 per hour depending on experience
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
