Project Overview

Project Deliverable

The LEPC will work with community partners to identify an area of need, then select an external partner through a Request for Proposal process to conduct research on a specific issue and gain a better understanding of possible causes and solutions to that issue.

Project Timeline

April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020

Project Status – IN PROGRESS

The Call for Proposal was issued on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 asking for people or organizations to respond with their labour market project. Applications were accepted until the due date of Friday, June 7th, 2019, at 5pm. The applications were reviewed by 3 volunteers who serve on the LEPC’s Intergovernmental Working Group and 1 person who serves on Workforce WindsorEssex’s board of directors. In total, two applications were recommended for funding.

Project Rationale:

Through providing funding to a local organization to conduct research and innovation towards a local labour market issue, it will highlight additional areas of focus for workforce development in Windsor-Essex. This project will also allow for a “made in Windsor-Essex solution” to a labour market issue to be created and tested to address a unique local issue.
