Tech Connect Plugs You Into The Windsor-Essex Tech Scene

The digital economy is ripe for bold initiatives that connect talent with tech companies. Given the Windsor-Essex region’s proximity to the U.S. border, it’s clear that this area has unique opportunities and advantages to generate a robust workforce.

In order to determine how best to prepare our students and professionals for tech-sector employment, WEtech Alliance, with financial support from the Local Employment Planning Council, Workforce WindsorEssex, has launched the Tech Connect initiative to better connect employers, prospective employees, students and professionals in the tech sector to the programs, initiatives and events in the tech ecosystem.

As part of this effort, Tech Connect will conduct a pulse check through surveys, focus groups and outreach to gauge which programs, initiatives and events delivered by the tech ecosystem are hitting the mark with the tech community and where there are gaps. The goal is to ensure accessibility and inclusion for a broad range of community partners.

Tech Connect Webpage

Whether you are a student, professional or an employer – uncover opportunities to network, land that prized tech job, tap into the pool of local tech talent, and connect with our region’s growing tech community and its programs, events and initiatives. The Tech Connect webpage highlights every tech-related program, initiative and event that is happening in our community.

Pulse Check Surveys & Focus Groups

To help identify what’s behind the poor perception of tech opportunities in Windsor-Essex, WEtech Alliance will be conducting surveys, focus groups and outreach to dig deeper into the tech community’s expectations of a healthy, vibrant and connected tech community, and how they access information about what’s happening in the sector locally.  To get involved in the project research contact Talent & Research Strategist: Dr. Victoria Abboud using the link below.
