This Sunday evening, we were invited to join North Lambton Community Health Centre’s Bike Safety Information Day! Hosted at the Forest Agricultural Society’s Fairgrounds in partnership with Bluewater International Granfondo, the event was a great opportunity for Migrant Workers to become familiar with biking laws and guidance in Canada, as well as receive some tips and tricks for how to protect themselves and stay safe when travelling by bicycle.
The event saw Migrant Workers from Jamaica, Mexico, Guatemala, and Philippines riding their bicycles with the community, and enjoying food from many backgrounds! There were prizes given to attendees, including 3 bicycles that were raffled at the event! 🚲 🚦 🛑 ⚠️

Quotes from Attendees:

“My infinite thanks for taking us into account since many times as migrants we are poorly received within the society of a new country.”
