Yesterday, Sunday, March 17th, we attended Collège Boréal’s celebratory ceremony at the Retro Suites Hotel in Chatham. The event was a chance to celebrate the Migrant Workers who completed College Boreal’s Train-the-Trainer program over the past weeks.

Throughout the course of these sessions, Migrant Workers in Chatham-Kent and Leamington learned about workplace health and safety, employment rights in Canada, ergonomics, and food safety, along with many more topics! This ceremony was a chance to celebrate their accomplishments and gather to distribute the certificates of completion for the program. Delicious Mexican tacos were served at the event for all attendees, and presentations given about the content of information sessions and goals for future learning. Thank you to all the volunteers who made these information sessions possible!
