Yesterday we had the chance to join Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres for their first on-farm information session at Truly Green Farms with Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers Inc. (OHCOW). Bringing materials directly on-farm to over 100 Migrant Workers at their greenhouses in Chatham-Kent, the session was focused on sprains and strains in the workplace, and how workers can protect themselves from risk. A great opportunity for workers at Truly Green to learn about working safely and how to protect themselves on the job.
Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres are also hosting an on-site walk-in clinic for Truly Green Farms staff to attend from 1pm to 4pm every Thursday, right on farm! Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres also has a walk-in clinic at their 150 Richmond St. facilities in Chatham every Sunday from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
