We attended MIGRANT WORKER COMMUNITY PROGRAM’s Mother’s Day Event this weekend. Gathering at St. Michaels Parish in Leamington, the event was a chance for Migrant Workers to celebrate their mothers! While many workers are away from family and unable to celebrate with their mom directly, this event was a great chance to gather with friends and the community to recognize and honour the Mother figures in our lives. There was food and live music at the event for those in attendance, as well as games and raffle prizes. A promotion was also run, encouraging workers to share photos of their families, with prizes given to those who participated.
