This weekend, the TeaMWork Project sponsored CARE para Trabajadores Internacionales / CARE for International Workers‘ Annual Migrant Workers Christmas Party at St. Michael’s Parish in Leamington. Gathering at 5:00 pm, the event provided a great opportunity for migrant workers to relax during their time away from work, enjoying live music and the company of friends. Informational tables and giveaway prizes were available for attendees, along with raffle prizes and festive Christmas piñatas! A delicious dinner was served for all attendees, contributing to the joyful atmosphere throughout the celebration.
The event also featured the Latin American religious observance known as “Las Posadas,” an extended devotional prayer traditionally celebrated in Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. We are grateful to have been a part of this heartwarming occasion, fostering a sense of community and festive spirit among international workers.
