On Sunday, September 10th, 2023, the TeaMWork project attended the Informative Fair About Labour Rights hosted by the Consulate of Mexico in Leamington as a part of the binational labour week between Mexico and Canada. Hosted at St Michaels Parish in Leamington, also present were ~10 TeaMWork partner organizations (all listed below)! Almost a hundred temporary foreign workers came out for the event, taking part in discussions around labour rights in Canada, and learning more about the organizations working locally in support of Migrant Workers. There were raffle prizes being given away to attendees, as well as refreshments provided for all in attendance!
