This Sunday, June 25th, we had the chance to attend a presentation from David Cote, a lawyer from Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW) about different immigration statuses in Canada and some relevant characteristics of each. The presentation was followed by a talk from Laura Strathdee from Windsor Essex Community Health Centre (WeCHC) about the several services provided for people in our community including temporary foreign workers.
At the event attendees also had the opportunity to learn about the work and services offered by midwives, as well as enjoy refreshments and win some prizes! This event was hosted at the Leamington United Mennonite Church by Legal Assistance of Windsor, and we thank them for letting us be part of it.
