We attended the Migrant Worker Community Program’s Health Fair at the Roma Club of Leamington yesterday! A great turnout all around, with over 20 community organizations present connecting with Migrant Workers in the area. There was live music and pizza for all in attendance, and even health services available like blood pressure testing, glucose screenings for diabetes, and COVID-19 vaccines! Over 500 workers attended the event and 20+ community partners hosted interactive booths. Workers were connected with health services such as blood pressure testing, glucose screenings for diabetes, and COVID-19 vaccines. As a result  8 workers discovered they were diabetic and are learning to manage the disease. Blood pressure monitoring resulted in 3 workers being taken to the emergency room for monitoring.
