This past Sunday, June 25th, 2023, we had the chance to attend MIGRANT WORKER COMMUNITY PROGRAM’s first Filipino Salu Salo, in celebration of Philippines Independence Day! The event kicked off with karaoke and singing, and good times for all. Dinner was served for all in attendance, with lechon and other tasty traditional dishes. After dessert, there were more games for attendees, like Hep, Hep, Hooray before raffle prizes were distributed. 
The event was a lovely time for the whole family, and even had a Sari-Sari store with snacks from the Philippines for attendees to try. Thank you MWCP for the invite and to St. Michaels Parish in Leamington for providing the venue.
Nitong nakaraang Linggo, Hunyo 25, 2023, nagkaroon kami ng pagkakataong dumalo sa MIGRANT WORKER COMMUNITY PROGRAM Unang Filipino Salu Salo, sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas! Ang pagdiriwang ay nagsimula sa karaoke at pag-awit, Inihain ang hapunan para sa lahat ng dumalo, kasama ang lechon at iba pang tradisyonal na filipino food. Pagkatapos ng dessert, marami pang mga laro para sa mga dumalo, tulad ng Hep, Hep, Hooray at namahagi din sila ng mga papremyo sa raffle.
Ang kaganapan ay isang magandang oras para sa buong pamilya, nagkaroon din sila ng Sari-Sari store na may mga snacks mula sa Pilipinas para subukan ng mga dumalo. Maraming Salamat MWCP sa imbitasyon at sa St. Michael’s Parish Leamington para sa pagbibigay ng venue.
