This Tuesday, November 7th, the TeaMWork team was invited to attend an on-farm information session hosted by Adult Language and Learning at Greenhill Produce in Chatham-Kent. The session focused on information around the Canadian Pension Plan, covering details of the application process including eligibility, timelines for payment, etc.

There were around 50 migrant workers present, with two separate information sessions starting at 6pm and 7pm. Our team had the chance to speak with Migrant Workers from Mexico, Jamaica and Guatemala, distributing our service matrix and maps, information cards, and other giveaway items like mints and pens! There were also prizes raffled during the session for attendees.

The information session was a great opportunity for migrant workers to learn more about their rights and benefits while working in Canada, and we look forward to more events like this in the future.
