We attended the 2023 Greenhouse Cup Finals yesterday, at the Pure Flavor Soccer Complex in Leamington (Municipality of Leamington) where Sun Rite Greenhouses took home the championship! Presented by MIGRANT WORKER COMMUNITY PROGRAM and Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers, the Greenhouse Cup is a free soccer tournament for Migrant Workers in Essex County to showcase their skills on the soccer field. The tournament was well-organized and went on without a hitch, thanks to the efforts of the organizers and volunteers. As the day progressed, the competitive spirit and sportsmanship on display provided a great example of the power of sports to bring people together.
