Communications Coordinator
As the Communications Coordinator, Rana supports the social media, marketing, and communications efforts of Workforce WindsorEssex and the Windsor Regional Employment Network. Rana believes that strategic communication can be a powerful tool for building stronger communities, driving economic development, and connecting people to meaningful opportunities.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor and bring a unique blend of strategic thinking and creativity to my work in the nonprofit sector.
Outside of her professional role, Rana is the creator behind Books and Things Explained—a platform dedicated to reading, writing, and lifelong learning. Through engaging and thoughtful content, Rana has built a community of over 250,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram, and Threads. Her work has led to collaborations with major publishers, including Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group (Penguin Random House), and digital platforms such as Lemon8.
At the core of her work is a commitment to education, creativity, innovative thinking, and meaningful community impact. I view communication—whether through dialogue, digital media, or writing—as a way to inspire thought, foster connection, and contribute to the greater good.
In her free time, Rana enjoys solo-travelling, reading, writing, exploring new ideas, and creating content that encourages others to think critically and live with intention.
