• Greenhouse Technician

  St. Clair College of Applied Arts & Technology

  2 Years 4 Semesters Full Time In Person

  Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, mature student status.

  The majority of courses at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level qualify for this program.

  The English proficiency requirement for international students is CAEL 50, IELTS 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5; or TOEFL iBT 61; or Pearson Test of English (PTE) Level 51.

• Environmental Studies

  University of Windsor

  4 Years 8 Semesters Full Time In Person

  Cost: $33,963

  Course Requirements: English/ENG4U
  Minimum Average: 70%
  Mean Average (Entering Fall 2019): 81%

• Landscape Horticulture

  2 Years 4 Semesters Full Time Online & In Person

  Cost: $8,280

  OSSD with the majority of courses at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level qualify for admission to this program.

• Environmental Science

  University of Windsor

  4 Years 8 Semesters Full Time Online & In Person

  Cost: $34,362

  Course Requirements: Advanced Functions/MHF4U, Chemistry/SCH4U, Biology/SBI4U. English/ENG4U.
  Recommended: Calculus & Vectors/MCV4U, Physics/SPH4U
  Minimum Average: 70% (70% average in all science and math courses)
  Mean Average (Entering Fall 2019): 88%

• Community Integration through Cooperative Education

  • A level of independence that precludes constant support
  • Ability to manage transportation to the College and to the field placement
  • Participation in an interview
  • Supplementary Application Package for Community Integration through Cooperative Education (CICE)

  Important Information

  Field Placements

  Many employers who provide our field placement settings require a clear POLICE RECORD CHECK for criminal offences with vulnerable sector screening before accepting a student into their field placement setting. The record check MUST be obtained by the student at the student’s expense.  If you are unable to obtain this police clearance by mid-September, it may jeopardize the opportunity to complete your field placements in your area of academic concentration.

  Placements will be completed at a variety of locations and may include day or afternoon shifts.

  The dress code for field placement is business casual or as indicated by an employer.

  Accepted applicants must supply proof of a satisfactory medical examination and immunization prior to program entry.
