Celebrating the Season with the North Lambton Community Health Centre!
On December 15, North Lambton Community Health Centre brought holiday cheer to the Forest Legion with the MWP Christmas Dinner! Migrant workers from around the world—including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, the Philippines, Thailand, Jamaica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Saint Kitts—came together to enjoy a warm meal, festive games, and vibrant music, including a drumming group and two piñatas!
The TeaMWork Project was thrilled to join the celebration, offering:
90 backpacks and planners filled with essential resources, including workers’ rights handouts and tools for tracking hours worked.
Guidance on workers’ rights in Canada.
Connections to local organizations for continued support.
Thanks to Andrea, Junior, and a dedicated volunteer, we were able to distribute these resources smoothly and engage meaningfully with workers. We also collected 90 feedback surveys to help us tailor future activities to better meet the needs of Migrant Workers.
This event was a powerful reminder of the unity, joy, and strength within our community. Thank you to everyone who made this evening so memorable!
Here’s to fostering connection, support, and holiday joy for all.
