Growing Occupations & Healthcare and Social Assistance: Top Occupations and In-Demand Jobs for Windsor-Essex for August 2024

This month, we’re looking at the top growing occupations in the region for jobseekers as well as the growing Healthcare and Social Assistance sector. It is important to point out that Windsor-Essex saw a decrease in overall job postings as compared to the previous month. This trend is typical for the end of summer, when many individuals shift their focus to preparing for the upcoming school year. We are also seeing a temporary slowdown in hiring before the fall, including the natural conclusion of seasonal employment contributing to this decrease.

In August 2024, there were 5,825 total active job postings from 2,039 companies for a decrease of 9% in total active job postings from the previous month. The number of new job postings also decreased this month, down 24% from July, with 2,627 new jobs posted in the month of August. The Job Board received 21,764 job post clicks, down 8% from the previous month.
