Throughout the month of June, the TeaMWork Project had the opportunity to visit farms across Windsor-Essex and connect with hundreds of Temporary Foreign Workers growing everything from cucumbers to cherries to flowers. 🌸🥒🍒
With support from the Consulado de México en Leamington, and the generosity of local growers, we were welcomed on-site to distribute our TeaMWork backpack kits—packed with daily planners, safety resources, and information about local support services.
Some workers we met were new to Canada, while others have returned for over 15 years—each one making a vital contribution to our food systems and communities.
Thank you to all the workers and farm owners who made time for these important conversations. We look forward to continuing to build connections and share resources throughout the season!
