Housing Rights Information Session – September 29th, 2024
✨📝 A successful event and important opportunity to learn!
On Sunday, September 29th, Legal Assistance of Windsor of Windsor hosted an information session at the Leamington United Mennonite Church on housing rights. 🏡
Attendees were able to learn about their rights and responsibilities in bunkhouses, rooming houses, and elsewhere. LAW shared information about when and how to report housing concerns, and how to navigate the private rental market. Attendees were able to enjoy delicious food and drinks before and during the presentation! There was also an opportunity to speak with a lawyer or social worker about any questions or concerns.
✍️🙌 TeaMWork was happy to be in attendance at this event to see the wonderful presentation and distribute informational materials about Temporary Foreign Workers’ rights and responsibilities, and where and when to access TeaMWork services in the region.
