Design has always been part of me. On the family farm, opportunities abounded both for repairs and manufacturing of new equipment. As a small lad I would watch my Dad from the shop doorway as he fabricated a variety of farm implements or livestock equipment. Times I rode along with him to my uncles’ shop was a special treat, while they together constructed machinery for the farm. Often time hand sketched concepts littered the desk and table. These were the “CAD drawings” used for manufacturing.
