On Sunday, October 20th, ACAS (Asian Community AIDS Services) and Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers Inc. (OHCOW) hosted the Asian Migrant Farm Workers Health and Information Fair!
TeaMWork was proud to be a sponsor of the event at Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre in Leamington, Ontario. Our fellow community partners in attendance ensured that Temporary Foreign Workers had access to health information and services, including dental, acupuncture, and massage services. TeaMWork provided workers with materials in Thai, Tagalog, and English about their rights in Canada and where to access further support.
Delicious Thai and Filipino food was available for workers to enjoy while they attended the ongoing information sessions at the event. These sessions covered important topics such as mental health, self-testing, and workplace safety .
Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in the raffle draw for a chance to win gift packages, food, and other giveaway items!
