Greenhouse Cup Highlights – September 22nd & 29th, 2024
The 3rd annual Greenhouse Cup, hosted by the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers and MIGRANT WORKER COMMUNITY PROGRAM, brought together over 200 migrant workers for two weekends of exciting soccer at the Pure Flavor Soccer Complex in Leamington.
More than just soccer, the event fostered a sense of camaraderie, allowing workers to bond, share stories, and celebrate their crucial role in Ontario’s agricultural industry.
Congrats to Jem Farms for securing 1st place, Greenrise for 2nd, and Hacienda North for 3rd!
The event buzzed with excitement, featuring lively music that set the perfect backdrop for the matches. Players enjoyed scrumptious hotdogs and hamburgers, creating a memorable experience.
Huge thanks to all who made the day a success: Canadian Mental Health Association – Windsor, Jones Bros Food Truck and Catering, CPR/First Aid Training with Anthony, & Workforce WindsorEssex.
The TeaMWork Project was proud to sponsor the event and capture photos during both weekends. Check out the photo album below to relive some of the exciting moments from the tournament:
