EVENT: Small Business Saturday
Canada's small businesses power our economy, drive innovation and create jobs. In order to deliver this message to all Canadians and to recognize the contributions of our small business owners, CFIB, in partnership with Interac, is introducing Small Business Saturday to Canada. This event will be held on Saturday October 20, and this special day will promote the importance of supporting small business in our communities.
Small Business Saturday has a number of unique features for small business:

www.shopsmallbiz.ca: A dedicated website where business owners can register their business and offer promotions to attract consumers to their business on Small Business Saturday.

Reach new customers: This is an opportunity for small business owners to reach a wider customer base as consumers can also sign up to see participating businesses and their offers in their local community.

Reach out through social media: Business owners can converse with customers and potential new customers on the dedicated Small Business Saturday Facebook page and Twitter feed.
Small Business Saturday (SBS) is not about a one day, one time shopping event. Its ultimate purpose is to remind all Canadians about the importance of 'shopping locally'.
